Update on Pyrmont Peninsula Place Strategy, Harbourside Darling Harbour and Blackwattle Bay
Pyrmont
The Pyrmont Action and Friends of Ultimo are calling for commitments from NSW State election candidates to support key issues identified by local communities. These include restoring the Ultimo Powerhouse Museum as a Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences, building a new high school for Pyrmont, and reevaluating public transport routes and stops. They also want the Pyrmont Peninsula and Blackwattle Bay precinct strategies to be reviewed to ensure the areas do not become overdeveloped with towers. Other demands include providing more affordable housing, installing CCTV cameras and noise monitors in hotspots, and installing fast EV charging facilities in Pyrmont.
